# Waysmith

> Waysmith is an independent college counseling practice that applies methods from design and user research to college admissions. Founded by Ringae Nuek, Waysmith works with ambitious, thoughtful, high-achieving students and their families to design college paths grounded in genuine fit — clarifying student values and goals, then deeply researching colleges to map specific programs, faculty, and opportunities to each student's interests.

The Waysmith approach treats college search as a design problem, not a ranking exercise. Engagements begin with student-centered discovery (values, strengths, goals), move into structured research that identifies real alignment between students and institutions, and culminate in applications that articulate authentic fit rather than manufacture it. Families work directly with Ringae throughout the process.
